The Endocannabinoid System

The Endocannabinoid System with CB1 and CB2 Receptors | What is the Endocannabinoid System? from fabuleaf™ Full Spectrum Hemp Flower CBD Products

The Endocannabinoid System

When any part of our body is operating outside of the correct range, our body activates the Endocannabinoid System to help correct it. Next time you’re really hot and begin to sweat, thank your Endocannabinoid System for working to cool you down. Ever heard your stomach growl, that’s your Endocannabinoid System reminding you to eat because your body is hungry and needs fuel to function properly. The Endocannabinoid System signals your body via cannabinoid receptors found in different tissues within our body. We have two main cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2.
Cannabinoid Receptors Type 1 exist primarily in the brain | What is the Endocannabinoid System? from fabuleaf™ Full Spectrum Hemp Flower CBD Products

Cannabinoid Receptor
Type 1 (CB1)

The CB1 receptors are in the central nervous system which includes our brain and nerves of the spinal cord and are essential for a healthy functioning brain. CB1 receptors can be moderators of your mood, memory and perception of pain. Although CB1 receptors are most common in the central nervous system, they are also throughout the body.

Cannabinoid Receptor
Type 2 (CB2)

The CB2 receptors are found in the in the peripheral nervous system, digestive system and specific cells in the immune system. They help moderate inflammation and our immune response to pathogens.
